How Much is Medicare?

Learn the factors that affect Medicare costs.

How Much is Medicare?

The cost of Medicare depends on the parts you choose, your income, and when you enroll. While many people pay no premium for Part A, most pay a monthly premium for Part B and may have additional costs for prescription drug coverage or Medicare Advantage plans.

How Much Does Medicare Cost at Age 65?

At age 65, most beneficiaries qualify for premium-free Part A if they or their spouse paid Medicare taxes for at least 10 years. In 2025, the standard Medicare Part B premium is set by the federal government, but higher-income individuals may pay more. You’ll also need to consider deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.

How Much is Medicare Part B?

Medicare Part B covers doctor visits, preventive care, outpatient services, and medical equipment. It has a monthly premium, which can vary based on your income. In addition to the premium, there is an annual deductible and a coinsurance amount for most services.

Why It Matters for Your Health

Choosing Original Medicare means you can see providers across the country without being limited to a network. It also offers a foundation of coverage that you can enhance with additional plans, like Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) or Medicare Part D for prescription drugs.

How Much are Medicare Parts C or D?

Both Part C & D costs vary by plan. While some have $0 premiums, others may have higher costs. Our licensed agents are experienced in navigating the variety of options, and they are a phone call away from helping you talk through options.
